Four Marketing Tools and Tricks to Save You Time

Most of us want to reduce how much time we spend marketing. Yes, even I do! And it doesn't have to be giving ourselves over to the robots and be a soul-less business. Today, I wanted to share a few tools I enjoy that can make a huge impact in your marketing and saving time.

1) Loom is a hero of mine. It’s easy to use software that does an amazing job of capturing short or long videos. You can share your screen, share video of you, or do both. I use Loom to send message, explain software and concept, and much more.  I love how the company has supported the education world during the pandemic by making their software free for schools.

2) Calendly has changed how I do business. Now I can have a client pay for a service, book a time with me and fill out a questionnaire in one swing! A few years ago, I had to use 3 different pieces of software to do this. I LOVE Calendly and will share how it works with my clients.

3) MailChimp - If you are a beginner, this one is the easiest and cheapest to use of all the email marketing platforms. It's free up to 500 subscribers and easy to use if you want a simple platform. When you want to do anything more complicated, it's clunky. Setting up landing pages and drip sequences are not easy with MailChimp. (A drip sequence is a series of emails you send to a subscriber after they sign up for a freebie on your website.)

If you want a platform to set up landing pages, email automations (drip sequences), list management, and much more, check out MailerLite and ConvertKit.

4) If you are using social media - I highly recommend buying a content calendar to help you plot out your posts. You can also use Gen AI and use a prompt to generate ideas for a social media calendar. A lot of times I see clients get stuck and don't know what to post.

Scheduling your social media posts for the next two weeks is a great start and using a scheduling tool can be a game changer! I use the native schedulers a lot (the scheduler that is built into the social media platform), however Buffer is also a great one and Canva has a scheduler that come with its Pro version I've heard many people enjoy.
